ok, i find the site entertaining and well written. but it is more one sided than a two assed monkey. i love bdp, harmony and miss melody — stop the violence all that. i am all for protecting french and am not against 101 but various checks and balances have to be taken. that to say some do not fair well when the preservation of french is THE main narrative. you may, for intstance, find it instructive to note that quebec has 15% balck unemployment. this is much higher in strict numbers and versus the norm than any other jurisdiction in NA. worst by far than even the jim crowes. is it racism? well, not exactly as quebecois are less likely to hold personal racist views than say an Albertan. It has to do with the tone of the narrative and debate here, that doesnt take stock of who has been left behind as certain peoples or nations have been pulled up. it is time we as quebeckers face this crisis head on and with courage. let there be no outsiders or left behinds in this society. or as mr krs one said back in 88, we are headed for self destruction.

Since there isn’t always a video to go along with the song or poem, another way is to consult the list of those which I have already translated by searching for “Translations of poems and lyrics” on my site.

How about using YouTube or like places to post music videos with English-language subtitles?–that is, if the artists don’t think that doing so would be “selling out.”
